• Recent council investment — a $1.3 million upgrade added an extra lane, a new pontoon with sewage pump-out, and an upgraded car park, cementing Tilligerry Peninsula as one of the region's most popular launch points for fishing and leisure boats.
• Shelter when it matters — when the open Port turns bumpy in the afternoon, the protected water around Lemon Tree Passage stays fishable and safe for smaller or less experienced boat handlers.
• Fish are right on the doorstep — Tilligerry Creek is known for trumpeter whiting, flathead and mud crabs, with flathead working well on soft plastics around the north end of Feninghamms Island, and whiting around One Tree and Shag Island.
